Investment Opportunities
in Ukrainian Infrastructure

Client – International Project Finance Association (IPFA)
Industry – Global Infrastructure & Energy Finance
Project Type – Conference Recap Video

The Challange

This high-level conference brought together key voices from organizations such as DLA Piper, Deloitte, the European Investment Bank, EBRD, BGK, and mBank to discuss investment in Ukrainian infrastructure—a topic of both strategic importance and sensitivity.

The client requested a recap video that was visually impressive yet subdued, reflecting the seriousness of the event. A major creative constraint: attendees could not be filmed in a way that made them identifiable, due to privacy concerns. Only the speakers and sponsors could be shown on camera.

„On behalf of the entire team, thank you so much for your work on this video — we’re really pleased with the result. As always, it turned out great!”

Katarzyna Karpik, DLA Piper

Our Creative Approach

We leaned into the limitations by crafting a visual story that relied on location, atmosphere, and anonymity as a style.

– We conducted interviews with key speakers and sponsors to form the narrative core.
– We captured artistic shots of the venue and audience using silhouette techniques, filming from behind or against bright windows to obscure identities while maintaining presence.
– Close-ups of hands, notes, and gestures subtly emphasized human engagement without revealing faces.
– Most impressively, we utilized drone footage to highlight the proximity and prominence of the sponsoring institutions. Their logos—mounted atop neighboring Warsaw skyscrapers—helped us tell the story of collaboration without needing interior visuals.

The Result

Despite significant limitations, the final video is rich with life, context, and visual depth. In fact, no viewer noticed that the audience could not be shown—proof that the visual storytelling was so seamless, the constraint became completely invisible. The result is a powerful, respectful, and visually compelling piece that perfectly matched the tone and importance of the event.
